Why "healing" is actually stalling.
I spent nearly four years in the waiting room with the Twin Flame journey.
I did the surrender.
I did the "detach and focus on me" bit.
I treated my inner healing like a full-time job, convinced that if I just performed enough self-love and did all the shadow work, the universe would finally gift me the reality I was begging for.
Not even kidding, some days I spent FOUR hours trying to meditate on the exact reason my twin flame was mirroring a childhood trauma and regulate the trigger away.
Every time I got close to union, I’d spiral back into separation. Because let's be real, every time it cropped up, it definitely wasn't the way I wanted it show up.
We romanticize the "Twin Flame Journey" because it’s juicy. It makes our pain feel valid, sacred, and with divine purpose.
It makes the silence, the distance, and the longing feel like a prerequisite for "real" love and the determination for readiness.
It’s a convenient, expensive narrative that keeps you safely attached to the past instead of building your future.
The truth you aren’t being told is this: the pop-culture Twin Flame narrative tries but can't bypass the fact that you are the creator of your reality. Meaning, the story you tell yourself about what this is and how it works is exactly what you will create.
If you’re waiting for an "unawakened" partner to shift or for your internal state to finally be "perfect" before you get what you want, you are being sold a lie.
I manifested an apology and a move back into the country from a man who had zero reason to be in my state—not by doing more shadow work, and not by waiting for a sign to give me permission.
I did it by burning down the script and closing the door on anything but the new reality.
I stopped acting like my desired reality was something I had to earn through therapy and started acting like the one who calls the shots. I closed the door on the "run-chase" dynamic and forced the friction necessary to move the needle.
You don’t need more healing. What you need is to stop using healing as a hobby to avoid the discomfort of actually claiming your life.
You’ve done the work.
And you’re exhausted because you’re running in circles, not because you aren't doing enough. If you’re done bullshitting yourself and you’re ready to stop spectating, it’s time to rewrite the script.
Delay only creates more delay.
